Welcome to Organist Steven Zimmerman

We are thrilled to announce the hiring of Steven Zimmerman as Organist, effective July 1, 2026. In this part-time position,
Steve will provide instrumental music on the organ and piano during worship on Sundays and at other services throughout
the year, leading congregational hymn singing and accompanying the choir. He will also play for choir rehearsals
on Thursday evenings and serve in a supporting role to Caitlyn Huetz as Director of Music. Steve comes to us with a wealth of experience leading church music and playing both the organ and piano.
Steven Zimmerman Bio
Steven Zimmerman is a graduate of William Paterson University with a degree in Music Education, concentration in voice and piano. He studied under the direction of world-renowned and Grammy nominated bass-baritone Stephen Bryant and Gary Kirkpatrick. Steve is currently Band and Orchestra Rental Coordinator and Educational Resources Coordinator at The Music Den in Randolph. He also freelances as an organist/cantor for various churches in the area. Steve also has credits in the community theater world as pianist and Music Director. He has played at venues such as The Barn Theatre, Sussex County Playhouse,
Mayo PAC, Brundage Park Playhouse, among others. Steve has performed as tenor soloist all over Northern and Central NJ with groups such as New Jersey Conservatory of Music, Choral Art Society of New Jersey, Pro Arte Chorale, North Jersey Chorus, Masterwork Chorus, New Jersey Choral Society, the Cathedral Choir, and the Bach Vesper Choir where he has been featured
soloist in a number of Bach cantatas. Steven lives with his wife, Stephanie, in Boonton.
