Adult Ministries

When we gather in small groups, whether for fellowship, learning, or service, our faith is strengthened and our connections to each other grow deeper.

Next Act

Have you wondered what God is calling you to do next? This group of women meets regularly to navigate the next phase of their lives through prayer, fellowship, discussion, and healthy doses of laughter. The group also helps occasionally with church-sponsored mission projects. Meetings are held Monday mornings approximately twice per month

A New Day

This group of caring women provides support for those who are widowed.  Meetings are held on first Mondays each month (except when pre-empted by holidays) and are open to members of the church and community.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

A group of dedicated women meets monthly to knit beautiful shawls and deliver them to PCCT members and friends in the community in need of a little comfort, be they in the hospital or at home. No prior knitting experience is needed. The group will teach you the “how-to’s!” Prayer Shawl Ministry will now meet monthly in the Griswold Parlor at church.  Please contact the church office for schedule.

Fellowship Groups

A Men’s Fellowship Theology Talk group meets the first and third Wednesday of the month.

Evening Fellowship is starting Oct. 19. To join our new discussion groups, contact pcctoffice@pcct-nj.org, or call (973) 635-2340.

Faith, Friends & Chocolate Book Group

During our time together, friends from near and far gather to spend time sharing our lives and discussing the wisdom found in the books we are reading together. Listening to and being supportive of each other are the most important things we do.  We welcome new members and would love for you to join us! This group is led by Robin Batten and meets bi-weekly via Zoom on Thursdays from 3:00 – 3:40 pm.

Prayer Circle

There is time for sitting in silence in God’s arms, sharing our joys and struggles, and of course, praying for whatever is on our hearts. Some weeks we try a new prayer practice and others we spend most of the time sharing our concerns. The most important thing that we do each week is to slow down, take time to catch our breath, and experience God’s love in this sacred space. There is often laughter, sometimes tears, and always a sense of being supported by our small community and God. We all look forward to this time together with God and each other and hope that you will consider being with us. This group is led by Robin Batten and meets Friday afternoons from 12:00 – 12:40 pm on Zoom.
