Rise and Shine Breakfast Bags

The church could really use help with the Nourish Breakfast Bags mission project over the summer!!! People can actually make and drop off bags any time before the due date, you’re not limited to the stated window.  It’s easy and the need is great.  Details on how to sign up are below.  The specifics of what goes in a Breakfast Bag are on the Signup Genius. (Most of the food needed comes in 8 or 12 packs, so good for doing 12, 16 or 24 bags) Thanks!!

Throughout the year, these bags provide vital nutrition for local families. Everyone deserves a great start to their day! In 2025 nourish.NJ distributed 27,000 Breakfast Bags to families within Morris County. Approximately 1,000 were provided by just a few PCCT members. Help the community that we serve by packing Breakfast Bags in your home, chock full of the stuff we all crave. This is a wonderful activity to do as a family too! Decorated bags are always welcome.

Shopping List: small box of cereal; box of shelf stable milk like Parmalat; 100% fruit juice box or small water bottle; granola bar; fruit cup; plastic spoon; napkin; brown lunch bag.

Assembly instructions: Please wash hands and wear surgical gloves when assembling Breakfast Bags; put one of each item in a brown bag; drop off any day during the scheduled weeks between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:00 pm Mon. – Thurs., by 2:00 pm on Fridays during the summer.
