Earth Day

Pledge

As a certified Earth Care Congregation*, we seek to honor and celebrate Earth Day.

Our thanks to The Rev. Fred Milligan for helping us to celebrate Earth Day during our worship Service on Sunday, April 19.  Fred is the Co-Facilitator of the Advocacy Committee of Presbyterians for Earth Care.

Below is a link to Fred's sermon, Listen to the Animals, as well as to a video presentation created by Rev. William Brown called "Fanfare to Extinct Creatures."

Fred reminded us with us that individual actions matter because they help shift social norms and inspire others to act.

Ways to get involved:

CANOPY - the Creation Action Network of Presbyterian Young Adults is a community space for Presbyterians and their friends, ages 18-35, to connect on behalf of and in solidarity with creation.

Citizens' Climate Lobby - empowers everyday people to work within their communities and members of Congress on climate change solutions.

*Earth Care Congregations seek to fulfill the tenets of the Earth Cares Pledge and are certified by completing significant actions each year.
