Join us for Palm Sunday worship. A highlight of Palm Sunday is watching the children parade into worship holding palm branches, a reminder of what Jesus encountered when arriving in Jerusalem.  The traditional Easter Cross, made from the trunk and bough of a Christmas tree, will be displayed in the front of the sanctuary as a reminder of Christ’s death and promise of his resurrection. This evening’s casual service invites us into a deeper appreciation of the sacrament of Communion as an expression of Christ’s sacrificial love. Gathered around a specially prepared table in Halldorson Hall, we will join together in prayer, song, and reflection focusing on the Last Supper shared by Jesus and the disciples.

We continue the tradition of Tenebrae, moving from light into darkness as music provided by the chancel choir and readings from scripture reflect the solemnity of this day.

The church will hold two Easter worship services on Sunday morning, April 20th, to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ through glorious music, scriptures, and sermons. Special music includes singing the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s Messiah where everyone is invited to join in. Nursery care is provided for infants through Pre-K at both services. The 11 a.m. service will be livestreamed on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/c/PresbyterianChurchofChathamTownship and available for viewing at any time.

Directly following the 11 a.m. service, the much-anticipated annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held on the front lawn (weather permitting). Over 500 Easter eggs dot the grassy field ready for children to collect. Bring a basket and a camera for this fun-filled family event.

Save the date for our Dinner Church, an informal, all-ages worship service to be held on occasional Wednesday evenings.  Come as you are for a casual dinner and time to center your week around the sustaining presence of God. Expect to be fed in body, mind, and spirit.
