Offering a welcoming church community to all people, wherever they may be on their journey of faith, celebrating the glory of God through worship, fellowship, and service.
On Sunday mornings, Nursery and Preschool kids can be dropped off in the classrooms prior to the start of the worship service. Elementary age children (K-5th grade) and middle school youth (5th – 8th  grade) come to the first 15 minutes of worship and are excused to their classes on the lower level prior to the sermon. Middle schoolers attend Breakfast Club in the Youth Suite.

Through hands-on learning, games, activities and small group discussions, our kids are given opportunities to grow in their faith.  Additionally, the Milestones program provides opportunities for children to have a deeper understanding of the church and Christian life.

Each month we offer Family Worship Sundays where children will remain with their parents throughout the entire service. We will make these Sundays special for families and will follow each service with an activity for families to work on together – mission focused, ‘arts & crafts’ or just fun. The Family Sundays for this Fall are:

  • Sunday, September 19 — Welcome Back Sunday! Picnic and games on the Front Lawn!
  • Sunday, October 17 – Mission Focus after worship!
  • Sunday, November 21 – Harvest Festival! Help sort canned goods for the Interfaith Food Pantry
  • Sunday, December 19 – Lessons & Carols! A family friendly holiday service

Nursery and Pre-K

Nursery Care will be provided during our 10:00 am service every week. Children should be brought to the Nursery Room (newer wing) starting at 9:45 a.m. Our Nursery is staffed by a professional childcare provider from College Sitters, Nannies and Tutors to provide important consistency for the  youngest children. In addition to active play, there will be a short and simple lesson for the Pre-K aged children which will be provided by a PCCT volunteer.

Children in Kindergarten through 5th grade start out in worship and are excused to go to their classes by approximately 10:15 am.  An adult will be waiting outside of the sanctuary to take them downstairs.  There will be a brief gathering for all students (called a Foyer Chat) before they are dismissed to their classrooms. The breakdown of the classrooms/locations are as follows:

  • K-3 rd grades will meet in Room A5 in the old wing
  • Grades 4 & 5 will be meeting in Room A10, also in the old wing
  • Breakfast Club (grades 6-8) meet in the Youth Suite

Please note that these groupings are subject to change based on the number of kids that participate. Also, the 3rd graders will participate in a 6 week “Bible Discover” class at some point after they receive their Bibles on September 26 and will be meeting separately during this time. The current curriculum used for Pre-school -5 grade is FaithWeaverNow and will include instruction and hands on activities each week.

Breakfast Club

Designed for young adolescents in 6th-8th grades, Breakfast Club offers a relational-based format that introduces youth to the meaning behind the scripture texts through small group discussion, age appropriate youth activities, and occasional service/mission projects. The curriculum used for the Breakfast Club is titled “Faithfully Asking Questions.”
