This year's trip is to New Bern, North Carolina, for more than 30 high school students and adult chaperones. Participants will assist with home repairs through the Craven County Disaster Recovery Alliance. New Bern is still recovering from the devastation of Hurricane Florence in 2018, which caused over $100 million in damage and affected thousands of homes.

The Mission & Outreach Committee is sponsoring a “Thanksgiving in June” non-perishable food drive to benefit the Food Distribution Program at Chatham United Methodist Church. Pick up a reusable bag with a shopping list of most needed items after worship today and return it to church on or before next Sunday, June 22. Lists will be inside the bags and bags are in a bin inside the glass doors.

Once again, PCCT is partnering with Project Readiness NJ to provide backpacks to children in need. We've been given a list of 15 high school children and elementary school who will need a backpack full of school supplies for the upcoming year. From now through July 31, you can drop off items at the church office or in the designated box in the Upper Lobby. On Sunday, August 3, we'll assemble the backpacks during a special summer Faith Forward event following worship at 11:00 am.

September 7 is our annual kickoff to the program year. All are welcome to join us after a special worship service for a picnic on the front lawn. Reconnect with church family and friends over a lunch of hamburgers and hot dogs, and experience the joy of children enjoying games, face painting, and a bouncy house. We will also have a Mission Fair. There's so much to look forward to!

Please join us for our Winter Breakfast and the Annual Meeting in Mulford Hall following worship on Sunday, January 25. Your attendance is important as we vote on Nominating Committee recommendations for Elders and Deacons, and the Terms of Call for the Pastor. We’ll also review the 2026 Budget as approved by the Session and the Annual Financial Reports from 2025.
We will have extended nursery care and church school during the Annual Meeting portion.

This year’s Confirmation Class is sponsoring PCCT’s participation in the Souper Bowl of Caring in conjunction with the big game. To date, almost $200 million has been raised nationwide for local charities to make a difference as they collect food, raise money and volunteer with charities that provide shelter to the homeless and food to the hungry. This morning, the Confirmation Class will collect donations for the Souper Bowl of Caring following the 10 am worship service, both monetary and donations of canned soup will be gladly accepted! Thank you!
