Chatham Presbyterian Church Supports Local Hunger Relief Efforts

On Saturday October 24th, 50 volunteers from the Presbyterian Church of Chatham Twp (PCCT) gathered to support local hunger relief efforts. In the space of just two hours, 10,000 ready-to-eat meals were packaged. The event was sponsored by The Outreach Program, a global organization that connects individuals and organizations with volunteer engagement opportunities to provide safe water, nutritious food, medical care, and education to those in need at home and abroad. The meals will be donated to local partners and organizations that serve food insecure families in our area.

PCCT maintains an enduring commitment to providing hunger relief through local and regional partnerships. Throughout the year, they actively support the food distribution program at the Chatham United Methodist Church, donate food to the Interfaith Food Pantry Network, send volunteers to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey and regularly deliver sustainable Breakfast Bags to nourish.NJ.

PCCT is a vibrant, welcoming, intergenerational community of faith, seeking to navigate life’s challenges together and demonstrate Jesus’ call to love our neighbors as ourselves. With members from more than 20 local communities and a growing online presence, PCCT invites all to celebrate God through worship, fellowship, and service.
