VBS is a ROARING Success!

Vacation Bible School (VBS) ended this week with a roaring success — 62 children and 22 volunteers attended! Themed “Roar: Life is Wild, God is Good,” children were invited to discover God’s love in the world through crafts, activities, and games. Plus, a few surprise visitors rounded out the fun.

Campers were enchanted by a visit from The Lizard Guys, a fun educational program that included lizards, snakes, turtles, frogs, and various bugs, oh my! Special guest Michele Jensen of the Community Foodbank of New Jersey worked with children to make a hunger quilt and teach them about those with food insecurities in and around the area. And, Jenny Gaus from the Great Swamp Outdoor Education Center presented two hands-on programs about insects and owl pellets. VBS-ers gained insight into the importance of caring for and protecting all God’s people and creatures.

The week ended with a Family Luncheon. But that’s not all! For an added treat, the VBS Choir, led by Moravian College graduate Kayleigh Bennet, will provide music during the service on Sunday, June 30 at 10:00 a.m. Special thanks so Cindy Caporaso, Director of Children’s Ministries, for a fun-filled week!
