Family Ministries

As we begin to look ahead and consider how we will be doing ministry in a post-pandemic world, we see a growing need to find new ways to enhance and expand our ministry with children and families. To that end, our current children’s ministry is under construction so that we may soon provide a vibrant, dynamic and welcoming family ministry program that meets the needs of our children, families, and extended community.

Messages for All God’s Children

Each week, Rev. Clémot and a cohort of guest storytellers host a message for All God’s Children based on the lectionary readings, especially for our younger members. These short videos are emailed to our families in time for Sunday morning so that they can be viewed for family worship time or whenever convenient thereafter.

If your family would like to be added to the email distribution to receive these family worship time messages, please email the church office at pcctoffice@pcct-nj.org. Recordings can also be found on our YouTube channel.

Christian Education Focus Group

January 2021, Session decided to pause our children’s ministries programs, recognizing the on-going challenges presented by Covid-19, and appointed a focus group to study best practices in family and children’s ministries and propose fresh programming.  This group of parents, teachers, and staff has already begun meeting to discuss and plan an exciting new path for educating our children in engaging ways despite the pandemic.  Members of the focus group include: Emily Bakosi, Laura Hsieh, Stacy McCann and Katie Young, with Rev. Dr. Ellen C. Clémot and Rev. Thomas A Brown.

Vacation Bible School

VBS is a highlight of the summer for many PCCT families, providing an opportunity to discover more about God’s love. Participants will be welcomed to fun and exciting activities filled with friends, art, music, mission, and creative play. Children will make new friends and build social skills as they participate in fun, meaningful activities. Plans are currently underway for the 2021 summer.
