Update from the Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC)
The Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC) has been busy over the last few months reviewing and assessing Personal Information Forms (PIFs) for the next head pastor for PCCT. Since posting our Ministry Information Form (MIF) in late March, we received more than 50 PIFs from potential candidates from across the country. Each PIF was individually and carefully reviewed against our MIF and evaluated on characteristics including education, experience, theology, leadership competencies, mission, ministry successes and goals, and administrative skills. The PNC has also listened to and watched sermons…a lot of sermons!
As the field of candidates has narrowed, we now begin the process of conducting interviews and checking references. We will prayerfully consider the best pastor to be presented to the congregation and will work with the presbytery for guidance and assistance.
Maintaining confidentiality within the PNC is of the utmost importance, not only to honor the integrity of the committee and the call process, but also to ensure the identities of the prospective pastors are protected. This means that information about prospective pastors and all conversations, deliberations, and perceptions cannot be shared beyond the PNC and presbytery team. We thank you for your understanding.
We are excited about the candidates available to us and the possibilities each could bring to our congregation. Please keep the committee, the congregation, and the candidates in your prayers as we move forward in the search.
