Our Wednesday evening programming culminates in a casual worship service in Halldorson Hall and Chapel. Each week, one of our musical groups leads worship with a pastor or lay leader. Many thanks this year to Cindy Caporaso and Kraig Williams for sharing in the preaching responsibilities.
This Year’s Theme: “Do Unto Others”
“Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.”
– Luke 6:31 (Modern English Version)
Widely known as The Golden Rule, this ideal is a guiding principle for modern ethics and our understanding of justice, equality, and mutuality in human relationships. Our worship services during Lent will explore various expressions of this theme in both Hebrew and Christian Scriptures, encouraging us to think about how we treat others as essential to a full and meaningful life. How we treat others helps us know God better (Isaiah 58:6-7), leads us to forgiveness and restoration (Ephesians 4:32), and helps us be imitators of Christ (Philippians 2:5).
