Church Support Groups

Groups offered by the church and led by members of the congregation.

A New Day – Widows’ Support Group

First Tuesday of the month (Sept – May), 12:30 – 2:00 pm in Halldorson Hall

This dynamic group of warm, caring women provides support for those who are widowed. Join us for fellowship, discussion and lunch on the first Tuesday of each month (except when pre-empted by holidays). Please bring your lunch; beverages and dessert will be provided.

Healing Partners Cancer Support Group

All cancer survivors are warmly encouraged to participate in our supportive group.  Please confirm schedule with church office.

Community Support Groups

The following groups meet at PCCT and are open to all members of the community. Pre-registration is not required.

Alcoholics Anonymous 

Meet Sundays at 8:30 pm in the Theos Room

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.

Compassionate Friends

Third Sundays (Second Sundays in June and December), 7:00 pm, Griswold Parlor

Compassionate Friends provides comfort, hope, and support to families experiencing the death of a child and helps others better assist the grieving family.  There will be a worldwide candle-lighting in memory of loved ones held on December 8, 2019.  Click here for more information.

Morris County Nutrition Project

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:30 am – 1:00 pm in Mulford Hall

The Morris County Nutrition Project serves full hot lunches to all interested seniors age 60+. There is no sign-up or reservation required. Participants are asked for a $2 donation. Come join community members for a nutritious meal and conversation. The program also provides home delivery of meals daily. If you or someone you know is interested in receiving meal delivery, or for questions on the project overall, please call 973-285-6856.

Mental Health Faith Liaison Program under the auspices of the Mental Health Association of Essex and Morris.  Our involvement will be coordinated by our pastors and the Deacons.  The program offers:  Counseling Sessions/Support;

Information and Referral Services;  and  Faith Resource Network.  Contact the office for more information.
