Sponsored by The Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township in partnership with All Hands and Hearts, this trip is open to all adults ages 19 and up regardless of congregational affiliation.
Work Projects: most homes are in the Rebuild phase: restoring walls, ceilings, and floors to their functional structure; installing doors, baseboards, window trim, light fixtures, cabinets, countertops, and major household appliances. All projects have work supervisors on-site and tools will be provided.
Lodging (available Tues – Sat) is provided in an annex building of a local church, with up to 20 people in one room (air mattresses and mattresses on bunk beds). There are no separate sleeping quarters for male and female and there are no private sleeping rooms. Kitchen, separate bathrooms and hot showers are on-site. Meals provided on workdays.
*Dates: March 18-24 (Mon – Sun) reflect a full week (5 days) of work, Tues – Sat. Options to attend for a partial week will also be available.
Cost: Participants will be responsible for their own airfare plus one night’s lodging and meals if arriving Monday. Shared costs for ground transportation, plus suggested $75-100 donation to host organization.
